Gloria P. (Patricia) Gómez-Pérez obtained her Medicine Degree at the Universidad Peruana Cayetano Heredia in Peru, where she worked as clinical trial physician in US NIH-funded studies in tropical diseases. She has clinical experience working in resource limited settings in Peru (urban and rural areas), and in Spain in controlled human malaria infection studies.

She holds a Master of Public Health from the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health, US, with a concentration in Infectious Diseases. Patricia is currently finishing her PhD in Malaria Immunology at the University of Barcelona, Spain, and works as a Senior Scientific Advisor for the Research and Learning Department at PharmAccess Foundation, Amsterdam, the Netherlands.
