I am a PhD student in Epidemiology at Bahir Dar University, Ethiopia. I have completed two Master’s degree courses in Epidemiology and Field Epidemiology from Debre Markos University and Bahir Dar University, respectively. Also, I have completed a Bachelor degree course in Public Health from Wolaita Sodo University. 

My work experience includes over two years of lecturing in Epidemiology and Research Methodology at Debre Markos University. In addition to lecturing, I have also supervised and advised eight undergraduate students and three master's students. I have been working for seven years as a clinical and public health practitioner at various health centers and a district health office. I also have experience working as the vice head of the district health office and as the head of different health centers. 

In my research contribution, I have 14 peer-reviewed journal articles, and in 50% of these articles, I have been the first author. I am also actively participating in international-level studies like the Global Burden of Disease. I have been a collaborator on three articles in GBD. I have been participating in three research conferences. My research interests are in HIV/AIDS, surveillance targeting immediately reportable diseases, malaria, and maternal health.
