I am a Medical Microbiologist at Hawassa University's College of Medicine and Health Sciences in Hawassa, Ethiopia. I am currently enrolled in a PhD program in Medical Microbiology at Addis Ababa University's College of Health Science, School of Medicine, Department of Microbiology, Immunology, and Parasitology. At Hawassa University's School of Medical Laboratory, I have served as the team leader for the “Laboratory Quality Management Team “ and have successfully coordinated “community-based education programs” at the school level.
Since 2016, I have been involved in teaching, research, and community service, advising undergraduate and postgraduate students at the College of Health Sciences. Previously, I worked as a Medical Laboratory Technologist and Department Head at a health center and hospital, where I gained skills and experience in laboratory diagnostic services. My research areas primarily focus on gastrointestinal infectious diseases, including Shigellosis, Salmonella, Campylobacter, and their antimicrobial drug resistance, as well as respiratory tract infections like Mycobacterium tuberculosis and other microbiological subjects.
