Taye Abuhay is a dedicated, results-driven professional with a passion for methodology and data analysis, specializing in team leadership. With 15 years of experience, his ability to adjust to changing circumstances and dedication to excellence have enabled him to continuously produce solutions that have a significant influence on clients and employers.

Throughout his career, he served as the head of the department of epidemiology and biostatistics. With this role, he contributed to the department's budget and resource allocation as well as other areas including staff assignment for course teaching, research engagement, community service, and graduate and postgraduate student supervision, all of which have resulted in effective outcomes.

Taye Abuhay received numerous accolades for his community involvement and more than 12 publications from respectable journals. Molecular epidemiology, genetic diversity, and transmission dynamics of human rabies viruses using gene sequencing in Ethiopia is his PhD research topic on  current EpiGen Ethiopia Project, which he is working on as a PhD candidate in biostatistics at Bahir Dar University.

Taye graduated from Jimma University in Ethiopia with a Master's degree in Biostatistics and the University of Gondar with a Bachelor's degree in Applied Statistics. Taye’s skill set includes the ability to oversee numerous graduate and postgraduate students, provide training in data analysis, lecture various statistical courses, and supply statistical software to faculty members and students. He is eager to use his special combination of abilities and experience to a new challenge in the future, where he can continue to drive success, contribute to organizational growth, and make a meaningful impact. Now, as a PhD student, he is working at EpiGen Ethiopia Project.
