Ashenafi Alemu Wami is a dedicated PhD fellow at Addis Ababa University, specializing in Tropical and Infectious Diseases. With over a decade of experience in public health, he has made significant contributions in both hospital and research settings. 

Ashenafi's academic journey includes a Master’s Degree in Medical Microbiology and a Bachelor’s Degree in Medical Laboratory Sciences, both achieved with high honors. His professional tenure at the Armauer Hansen Research Institute (AHRI) includes roles as an Associate Researcher and Coordinator of the Bacteriology Unit. His research focuses on bacteriology, antimicrobial resistance, and infectious diseases, and has resulted in the publication of over 18 papers in esteemed journals. 

Ashenafi's research spans a diverse array of topics, particularly the epidemiology and antimicrobial resistance of pathogens, providing critical insights into public health challenges in Ethiopia. His work continues to influence the development of effective strategies to address these issues.
