Antenehe Habte is a PhD candidate in tropical and infectious diseases at Addis Ababa University, Aklilu Lemma Institute of Pathobiology. He obtained his Bsc. degree from Jimma University in medical laboratory technology and completed his Master’s degree in diagnostic and public health microbiology from Addis Ababa University.

He has been working as an Associate Researcher at Armauer Hansen Research Institute and he is doing his PhD project at Armauer Hansen Research Institute through the EpiGen project. His project focuses on application of one health approach and whole genome sequencing for the identification and detection of salmonella serovars in Ethiopia.
