AIGHD Team visits Ethiopia To Conduct EDCTP Financial Reporting Training
The AIGHD team of EpiGen Ethiopia recently concluded a two-day workshop in Addis Ababa focused on the financial management of EDCTP3 grants. The event brought together key participants, whose dedication and insights into the Ethiopian context contributed significantly to the workshop’s success. Through practical examples and shared experiences, attendees gained a comprehensive understanding of managing EDCTP3 grants, with a special focus on financial reporting, auditing, and maintaining integrity across all projects. This training is vital to ensure compliance with the stringent financial standards and transparency required by the European Commission, safeguarding the integrity of all ongoing and future projects within and beyond EpiGen Ethiopia.
Special thanks were extended to the Ethiopian Public Health Institute (EPHI) for hosting the event and ensuring seamless logistics. The venue, refreshments, and materials created an optimal learning environment.
The EpiGen consortium expressed gratitude for the commitment of all participants and emphasized the importance of this training in upholding high standards of financial accountability. A follow-up virtual meeting is planned to support the ongoing financial management of EpiGen projects. The workshop presentation has been shared with participants for further reference.
